Just by the way

I thought I'd just mention my love for thrift stores. They may be dirty and musty, but the challenge of searching through the junk at the thrift store for cute clothes is like a treasure hunt. Where else can you buy three adorable shirts and a pair of pants for less than $20? :)

I wish we lived closer so we could go thrifting together. I love it, too. We mainly go the clothing route for the kids, and in that area I really can't imagine buying kids' clothes new because we always find awesome clothes at DI for such a small price. And then we find, like, twenty other random things. It's really an addiction. :) I've been doing all this canning lately and they sell canning jars 4 for $1. Awesome deal compared to new ones (8 for $12). And Jeremy finds bikes for like $5 that he can work on to develop his skills. It's funny, though...every time we go, no matter what we buy, or how much we buy, we always end up spending $30. Every single time. Weird.

I actually prefer Savers to D.I. D.I. sells a lot of things for more, and I always seem to have better luck finding cute clothes at Savers. Funny thing...they are practically the same thing, right? But it is so true--it is definitely an addiction. It's like a giant garage sale. I used to love going to those as a kid in A.Z. (as you know, they are EVERYWHERE all year round in AZ). Maybe it is just bringing back good childhood memories for me?
